Dan Wonderly

Photographer, Brooklyn, NY

Wonderly Imaging is my creative umbrella. This includes various 2-dimensional media such as photography, painting, digital compositing, and the occasional video project – for now.

I've always sketched, painted, photographed, and constructed with what is around me. I love building things-whether in a digital matrix, a darkroom full of trays and chemicals, or a shop full of fire and flux.

If there is a concept or idea floating in my mind, I like to consider which medium would be best suited to give it life. With that theory in mind, I approach most creative situations as a puzzle awaiting some A-team-tactics to achieve the best results.

Frankly, I just like to make imagery that draws the viewer in a bit closer and alters their reality-if even just for a moment.

Born in Bogota and raised in Indiana, I have been living and working in Brooklyn for nearly twelve years, specializing in fine art portrait and still-life photography. Finding the unnoticed, the overlooked, the easily missed minutia drives my desire to communicate from behind the camera.
